Introduction

These are really good. If resale prices are anything to go by, it’s pretty clear to see that the Jordan 4 is Jordan’s most popular model of all time. And when you see a pair like this, you can totally understand why people can’t get 4s. My name is Josh and I am reviewing the Jordan 4 Craft Photon Dust.

Overview of the Jordan 4 Craft Photon Dust

So here we go, one of the best colorways of the Jordan 4 to drop in the last year, the Jordan 4 Craft. They were released worldwide on February 11 in Europe for a higher retail price of $225, 225 euros. And that’s because the materials used on this pair are far more premium than your typical Jordan 4s. It’s been a great week for those who love Jordan 4s.

Recent Jordan 4 Releases

Not only did we get this pair earlier in the week, we had the Jordan 4 Oil Green or Sea Foam. Leave a link here. Make sure you check out this review as well. I was so excited to get this pair. I got a W on the Snickers app for this. Well, because I got my W notification on the app only to find out that I mistakenly ordered a shoe in my girlfriend’s size, which is a men’s US Six. So this is a men’s pair, only in a very small size. Thankfully, at least it’s not the GS version as the quality of GS pairs is usually much lower than your men’s pairs. So even though these aren’t my size, I’m glad to at least have a men’s pair for you guys to review.

The Box

Let’s get into the shoes now, starting with the box. So you get a special box here. It’s covered in this photon dust or gray color, and it has like a cement print on it. You’ve got the Jumpman logo in this yellow, officially called Yellow Vanilla.

The Colorway

And before we get into the shoes, let me just talk about this colorway. This is a really beautiful colorway. And I believe over the last year, it’s one of the cleanest colorways we’ve seen of the four so far. The main color that’s used here, this photon dust, it’s like a light gray or more like a blue-gray. You get a few hits of yellow, the Jumpman logo on the tongue, yellow on the lace loops as well. And then finally on the back of the shoe, you’ve got that Jumpman logo once again in pale vanilla. The yellow color contrasts well with the rest of the shoe. The midsole is done in a nice cream color. And then finally you have the outsole in a much darker gray. Based on the colorway alone, these are sick. Let me know in the comments, what do you guys think of this colorway?

Materials and Construction

But let’s talk about what sets the shoe apart from other quads, and that is the different combination of materials used here. Usually when it comes to quads, the upper is all leather, or all nubuck, or in some cases, all suede. However, this time you get a lot of different content. So looking, let’s start with the Mud Guard you’ll find some suede in there, not the softest feeling suede, to be completely honest. And the toe box is actually split into two separate pieces of suede.

The tongue of the sneaker is also done in this furry suede material. The language, by the way, is very elegant. Looking at the back of the tongue, there is a very fine, very soft fur-like material. And what is very unique about the shoes is on the cages, they are also made of suede. I can’t remember the last time we saw suede used on the cages of the Jordan 4. Most of the panels on the upper are actually made of this lovely soft leather. And you’ll also notice those leather panels. It looks like it’s all stitched together, it’s not like a single strip of leather across the entire shoe as is usually the case with quads.

Unique Features

And besides, another material is used here. So on the ankle collar in the middle, there’s some torn leather used. It’s similar to the leather you saw on Amamanir. Additionally, there seems to be a very randomly placed strip of suede along the ankle collar, which I haven’t seen on a pair of quads before. Yes, very unique shoe. Definitely stands out from other couples. I definitely like the variety of content here. It’s one of the few cases where I’m like, well, I understand why you guys charge a little bit of a premium for it.

Craft Series

So throughout this year, we’ve been seeing other models come out with this craft version. We saw it in the middle as well as the bottom. And more recently, on the Jordan 2s as well. And all these pairs have the same theme. They are all using different types of materials. I definitely think these quads, however, are by far the best of the entire craft series.

Laces and Sizing

The only ones that come with the pair are these dark gray laces, which is too bad because we didn’t get yellow laces. And I also think a nice pair of cream or beige laces would have gone really well with this pair, especially with the matching midsole. You can certainly compete with my own store, Elevate Laces. The link is in the description. We ship worldwide at a very affordable price. To size them up, have my girl work on the feet. I got it in her true size, which is a men’s US 6, and it fits her perfectly. Even with me, Jordan 4s always run true to size. They fit me just the same. My advice to you guys is to go with your normal Jordan 4 size. A lot of people tell me that the go through size is a little too tight for them. They go up a half size. So if so, stick with the same size in this craft pair as well.

Resale Market

Seeing what these are going for on the resale market right now. So of course, there is resale for retail at the very top, which is no surprise. It’s a four and it’s a very neat pair of fours after all. My advice to you guys is based on how each pair of quads has been performing over the past year, you can expect them to go up in price, especially as we head into spring and summer. I go And this was also a very limited release, so I don’t see these prices staying that low for long. So I would suggest copying as soon as possible. There are some affiliate links in the description to help you police people too.

Conclusion

Overall, the Jordan 4 Craft, I think is just a fantastic pair of fours. We’ve got two great pairings this week. I’m sure many of you are comparing it to sea foam, wondering which one is better. I understand that sea foam is a better color way, but this one, you are definitely getting some better material, and in my opinion, they are more expensive than sea foams. A very unique pair of Jordan 4s. Let me know what you think of the Jordan 4 Craft in the comments.
