Monthly Anime Postcard
We have a small monthly anime postcard from AmiAmi. In case you didn’t know, the postcard is refreshed monthly. I was a little apprehensive about it because of its size, I mean the box, but we have a lot of paper this week, and more paper, and more paper, and more paper, and more paper, and more paper, and More paper.
Unboxing the Anime Figure
I can’t imagine how much paper they used for this week’s release and yes you can’t really guess what’s inside. So there’s no box around it and this week’s anime figures we have two toggles of wrapped and clear plastic. There is nothing valuable to break here. There is no hard paper box that they could dent. They actually could have given me a smaller box so I could save some shipping costs. But Torgo here, so good. I am very excited to review it.
Important Note for Buyers
By the way, just to give a warning that if you want to buy this, as a black replica, they are not full size. The smaller toggle is about half the size. I love final fantasy and was really happy to get it. But since they’re only ps5 exclusives, I’m in the game, I’m really still waiting for Jill’s popularity to grow so we can finally get some seven figures but I’m sure she’ll never be as popular as Tifa. It won’t happen.
Reviewing the Torgo Figures
Right after the plastic wrap, I just want to say that the two Targos don’t measure up here. If you want to scale it, they’re probably half that. We have a square for both dogs in his paper tag and a small nylon tag on his body. Let’s go for Baby Targo here and if we squint, it actually looks like a real dog. It actually has colored shading on its fur. I just can’t believe it. One thing to note here is that it doesn’t even look like its game counterpart. I guess this is a really close look of Baby Turgo so don’t get your expectations too high and I should point out that he has diamond shaped white hair on his forehead.
Detailing and Accuracy
I like the brown hair over his ears but the game doesn’t have that either. So actually there is but not that much. Three ticks to the left of the toggle but not to the right. The white coat over his body is also quite pleasing. The tail is pretty decently padded and really lets the tail stay upright all the time. But as you can see below, the toggle is actually made of different types of hair. Really adds detail. And finally, gray hair really does change color depending on which direction you comb it. This concept really holds true for art. I guess concept art is where he gets most of his inspiration from.
Big Torgo Details
BigToggle is also pretty full. Big Toggle has a lot of hair. I’m really amazed how they can mix white with gray and it really brings out the maturity of an old dog standing next to Clive. They actually gave him the same age with brown hair. Only one side is bigger. I just want to admit, I also collect plushies and making a perfect muff is probably pretty impossible so it’s actually okay. A metal bangle we should have? No, we just have one that looks like leather. No claws or claw details. The hind legs are always in a forward pointing position and cannot be changed. Togo actually seems like a kinder dog here than we know him to be in this game. So on Big Togo, they actually attached eyelashes to the dog. A very nice addition to the description I must say here.
Conclusion
Overall, if you can spend some time arranging her hair and getting it to sit well, it looks really real and cute. The Small Togo here is just insanely cute and just because he makes such a small appearance in the game, you might actually think this is the Togo you want. Overall, pretty cheap accessories, and if it’s available on sale, I think you should get one.
