Introduction
So I’m not entirely sure if this is brand new coming from the New Balance 9060 ‘Mondays’ or if it’s been happening for the past couple of years but just last week on May 12th we had a lot of releases. There are so many shoes in gray and they are actually calling it Gray Day so of course I had to pick one of my favorite silhouettes which would be the 9060. We’ll see you next time.
Overview of the New Balance Release
We’ll take a look at one of the latest releases, coming from New Balance. And it was indeed dropped around the world for this great day. So let’s go ahead and take them out of the box, guys, which will come in your normal box, which will be in the dark gray way, with this New Balance logo on top. So let’s go ahead and break out the shoes, folks.
Focus on New Balance 9060 Arctic Gray Colorway
We take a look at this brand new release for the New Balance 9060 in this Arctic Gray colorway. So like I’ve said before guys, I’m not entirely sure if this is a brand new thing coming from New Balance, but just in the last week we’ve had a lot of releases for a lot of gray sneakers. So they actually call this event Gray Day. And besides, we’ll have some clothes.
Background on the New Balance 9060
So I decided to go with one of my favorite silhouettes from them, which would be the 9060, which you might not know, is a brand new silhouette from them, very similar to the other two models. will fuse elements from Which will be 991 and 860. And they actually managed to bring that 9060 to market, which if I’m not mistaken, was dropped about two years ago where we had a double release of this Joe Fresh stuff. And since then we’ve had a few more collaborations and a lot of color combinations on our own. So even though I already have this 1960 Bodega collaboration in my collection, I still decided to pick it up which has such a different material, but still looks pretty cool.
Detailed Breakdown of the 9060 Arctic Gray
And this time guys, this brand new release for the 9060 which comes in this arctic gray colorway will have only two materials for the upper part of which it will be a blue mesh material with a lot of overlays on top. will On top of that there will be a lot of stain effect which of course looks great but I guess it won’t be to everyone’s taste so let’s go ahead and break this guy down as well. So as I said earlier for this upper we’re going to have this breathable mesh material as a base layer in this blue colorway. On top of that it will be Novak material in this blue stained colorway. And we’re going to have some gray, too.
Lacing System and Tongue Details
So for the actual lacing system guys we’re going to do your normal punch out holes. Which this time will keep the white flat laces. So under those laces for that we’re going to have this mesh tongue in that blue way. But as you can see at the top here we have artificially non-deer material in this navy colorway. which will carry the New Balance 9060 logo.
Midfoot and Logo Details
On the lateral side as always in the midfoot guys we’re going to have this new balance logo in this silver color which will also be reflective. But in the middle we are going to do your normal embroidery for the same end letter. So this is a completely standard thing for the 9060 for all these releases.
Interior and Insole Features
As we’re going to go into the inside of the shoe now, we’re going to have this gray to blue color for the lining. There will be a normal amount of padding underneath, so nothing special here. And as usual on the bottom we’re going to have this foam insole in this gray color. Which will be marked here on the heel section saying New Balance.
Midsole and Heel Counter Design
But now on to the actual midsole guys. Here in the heel section we are going to get this heel counter support. Which is a translucent. But as you can see at the top we will have this very worn effect which in my opinion works perfectly with the rest of the shoe. So now folks we can move on to that dual density midsole. Which will be made of this absorbent and SBS cushioning. So we will have it in three colors. So we’ll have this blue, gray and also an off white.
Comfort and Stability
So this midsole, folks, is actually quite comfortable. Of course, with that dual-density midsole, it certainly feels pretty good underfoot, and with that very wide shape on the forefoot and heel as well, I definitely feel like it’s really a Giving very good surface stability. .
Outsole and Sizing Information
So now guys, we can finish with this diamond outsole pattern, which will be inspired by the 860. So this rubber outsole will be in this blue color with a new balance here in the midfoot as well. So it will be totally like a normal pairing of 90-60 so nothing has changed here. As for the actual sizing guys for this I went with my size and for me as I have a slim fit it fits me perfectly and I would say for people with normal feet. Will be almost the same but just in case you have wide feet, guys, I would definitely suggest you go with at least a half size up just to make sure that the front of the shoe, Which is actually quite pointy, won’t do you much good.
Conclusion
So all in all, guys, this brand new release for this New Balance 9060, also known as Moon Daze, in this arctic gray colorway, in my opinion, is actually looking pretty good. And I guess that’s mainly because I like the 9060 range in general. I think the material used for it is generally good and the comfort level is such that it won’t disappoint at all. And I have to admit that this upper that will have this stain effect is actually quite interesting, but if you’re not a big fan of the stain effect, it’s definitely not for you. So yes guys, it was me unboxing and reviewing this brand new release from the New Balance 9060 ‘Moon Daze’, this time in the Moon Daze colorway.
